Short Sale Reform – The Lundeen Plan

On April 5, 2011, in Uncategorized, by David Monsour

Below is a proposed plan for short sale reform.  Any consumer or agent that has gone through the short sale process knows that it’s broken.  It takes too long, there are few direct answers, at the end of the day it feels like it’s impossible to make any progress.  The Lundeen plan has been sent to government officials in every state and is being reviewed by HUD/RESPA.  It has also been given to two major news networks for review.  The hope is that with this plan we can streamline the short sale process and help consumers and agents operate more efficiently.  At the same time it will help rid the real estate market of toxic, distressed properties that will surely continue to pull prices down.  Everyone knows we need reform.  I personally hope that this plan is accepted so that we can get back working with people and not fighting with banks.
